Dr. Adebayo O. Eludoyin graduated from Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo; an affiliate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1996, with a B.Sc. (Hons) Geography and Education degree. He then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Geographical Information Systems and won the School’s Award for the Overall Best Student for 1998 set. Adebayo later obtained his M.Sc. degree in Environmental Control and Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University in 2002, and Ph.D. in Physical Geography from the University of Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom in 2014. His Ph.D. research was conducted at the North Wyke Farm Platform – an experimental site of the UK’s Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s funded project at Rothamsted Research. Dr. Eludoyin joined the services of the Obafemi Awolowo University in November, 2005 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose to the rank of a Senior Lecturer on October 1, 2017. He is an alumnus of the Annual (3rd) Catchment Summer School of the Northern Rivers Institute at the University of Aberdeen, the Earth System Science Spring School at the University of Edinburgh, European’s PROTTEC’s Strengthening of Human Capacities for Ph.D. researchers, and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)’s Youth Entrepreneur Scheme (YES) in the UK. He also completed the two stages of the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LTHE) course in 2010 at the University of Exeter. Dr. Eludoyin was appointed the Postgraduate Coordinator in 2014, and has supervised more than 10 M.Sc. degrees in different areas of specializations in Geography, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System, Environmental Control and Management, Space Science and Technology between 2014 and August 2018. He has served as University Examiner to Departments in Faculty of Science and Agriculture. He was a resource person at the Department of Geography, University of Ilorin (2007-2014), African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education- English (2004 – 2010), Regional Centre for Training in Aerospace Science – now AFRIGIST (2013/2014 session) and is a resource person still with the Centre for Space Science and Technology (2014 – date). Dr Eludoyin is currently co-supervising two candidates for PhD in Ecology and Environmental Studies, and three candidates for M.Sc. in Geography. His research focus is in the area of Hydrology/Water Resources, Soil vulnerability to land use and impact of variability of atmospheric waters (rainfall and humidity).
