Dr. Olawole graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo Univeristy in December 1992 with a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Geography. He had his MPA Degree and M.Sc Degree in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from Lagos State University and University of Ibadan in 1997 and 2003 respectively. Dr. Olawole also had M.Sc Degree and PhD in Geography from the Obafemi Awolowo Univeristy, Ile-Ife in December, 2008 and March, 2013, respectively. He joined the services of OAU in June, 2005 as Graduate Assistant and rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer in March, 2013. He has authored or co-authored several journal articles and other publications. Dr. Olawole is on the editorial boards of Ife Research Publications in Geography, Ife Social Sciences Review and Osun Geographical Review. He is also a member of several professional organizations – the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (AARSE) and American Association of Geographers (AAG).
